Studio Truly truly, who were in charge of the curation of the annual catalog of furniture brand Leolux, asked us to create artworks; translations of the materials used within the furniture of the brand. The artworks were used for the magazine but also as a backdrop (4x3m) during furniture fairs.
It became a quest for a fictional world where we no longer were bound to the material limitations. The result was a series of 3D renderings to showcase a utopic environment as an alternative to a usual sample book or showroom. We wanted to experiment with shape, proportion and material combinations without having to think about construction, size or logistics; but the main goal was to show the beauty and sculptural qualities of these materials.
